This exciting week kicks off with Krusin' for a Kause, where fun charity boat rides are given for individuals with special needs. That evening features our Welcome Party with live music, food and drinks for participants.  The Street Party comes together with a spectacular display of Participant and Manufacturer boats and accessories, unique vendors and food booths along with live entertainment and beer garden!  Followed by an on the water Parade of Power and Poker Run with aerial photography. To close the weekend, the action packed Desert Storm Shootout with beautiful boats flying by on a controlled course at speeds approaching 200 MPH!! Boats and drivers will test their skills and put on a show for thousands of spectators! MULTIPLE awards will be given for the top speeds in various classes and the King or Queen of the Desert will be crowned for the fastest overall speed of the event! There are parties galore, friends and camaraderie you will not want to miss. See ya soon!

BOAT INSURANCE AND REGISTRATION

You must upload your boat insurance and registration.

If you do not have CURRENT VALID COPIES you can upload your old one. HOWEVER, these are required items so you must provide them prior to the event in order to participate.


ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION ITEMS

The Desert Storm Shootout will be held on Saturday April 27th, 2024 with Sunday April 28th, 2024 as a backup for inclement weather. NEW THIS YEAR, we will have multiple classes of competition where boats and drivers can compete against others in their class! ALL Shootout participants will receive a dash plaque with their own top speed for the event. Each boat will get a minimum of 4 passes or more as time allows. Each boat and driver will go through a MANDATORY SAFETY/TECH inspection. Once registered, each participant will get an email detailing the required items for SAFETY/TECH inspection so you are prepared. The SHOOTOUT is optional and is NOT included with the Poker Run registration. Add this to your registration and come test your skills at the shootout!

The cost for the SHOOTOUT is $300.00 for Non Poker Run Participants / $200.00 for Poker Run Participants.

INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING WITH EXTRA POKER HANDS!

Each additional Poker Hand is $100.00. Two hands are included with your Desert Storm Event Registration and you can add up to 8 additional hands for a total of 10 Poker Hands. The Poker hands purchased go directly towards increasing the pot.

The Poker Hand Pot is divided as follows:  25% Charity Partner, 35% 1st Place, 25% 2nd Place, 15% 3rd Place.

Boat Trailer Parking and Launch Pass

We have a LIMITED QUANTITY of parking passes for your boat trailer and/or tow rig at the Windsor 4 parking area right next to our Desert Storm Headquarters. The Parking Pass includes secure overnight parking AND your Launch Pass for the duration of the event. This is by far the most convenient location for easy access to the water! These passes will sell out fast, so get yours while they last - Just $120 each! Parking is available starting at noon on Wednesday, April 24th and all rigs must be removed by noon on Sunday, April 28th.

Street Party Display - SOLD OUT

The Desert Storm Street Party is Thursday, April 25th, 2024. The Street Party is open from 1PM to 9PM and is free to the general public. This section only needs to be completed if you want to DISPLAY in the Street Party. If you simply want to attend the street party, skip to the next section. If you want to DISPLAY, please complete the next few info boxes. 1. What you are planning to display.  2. What is the total length of your display (end-to-end, if it was all in a line). Displays can be a MAXIMUM of 10' wide (including canopies) and must align with the curb. 3. We will need to know if your boat tilts so we can put you on the appropriate side of the street. NO VENDING OR COMMERCIAL EXHIBITS ARE ALLOWED IN THE DISPLAY SPACE. Boats and tow/show vehicles only. DISPLAY SPACE IS LIMITED. DISPLAY LOCATION WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE DESERT STORM STAFF.

Slips and Dock Space

If you would like to reserve a dock space or slip, they are first come first served - rental basis depends on boat length. Spaces will be offered to participants AFTER sponsors are assigned their docks. If you would like to be put on the waiting list for a dock/slip space, please email [email protected]. If available, the dock space will be reserved and assigned to you, and you will be notified by email. NOTE: MOST DOCK SPACES ARE SIDE-TIE. Dock access begins on April 24th after 2:00 PM and ends April 28th at 5:00 PM. You will be able to come and go from your assigned slip for the duration of the event. Docks are rented only for the duration of the event - we do not rent for single days. All slips are $500.00 for the duration of the event.


Krusin' For a Kause Volunteers

Located at the Windsor 4 docks, this very special event takes children and adults with special needs out for a cruise on the lake. Each boat will take two to three passengers along with a family member or provider. We give rides to approximately 250 guests every year! We will need volunteer boats and boat drivers along with volunteers on the dock to assist the people getting in and out of the boats. Anderson Powersports will provide beverages and Stoney's Grill will provide a BBQ luncheon to the riders and volunteers at the Desert Storm Headquarters at Windsor 4. The mandatory driver's meeting is at 9:00 AM and the event runs from approx 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you are interested in volunteering your time and/or your boat, please fill out the form below to apply. We have a limited number of opportunities to volunteer. We will reach out to you if you are selected to be part of this year's crew.
